Who We Are

InnovationNetwork’s purpose is to support a vibrant global economy by helping individuals and businesses to thrive and grow through innovation.  And, because innovation is about creating the future, by helping those in our network to develop core competencies in product and service innovation, we believe that all business and industry advance.

When IN was founded in the early 90s, little information was available about innovation—even the definition was hazy.  So our focus was to provide ways for people to share information, methodologies and experiences in the then-emerging field. People around the world, from organizations large and small, public and private, have shared stories and information at our meetings, virtual and real. Over the past 15 years, thousands of people from hundreds of organizations in dozens of countries have participated in action learning processes: our InnovationConvergence conferences, our in-depth program InnovationUniversity, as well as other events and workshops.

Our interactions and experiences have resulted in tools such as the InnovationDNA, a framework for thinking about innovation, the Survey of People-Practices in Innovation, an innovation climate assessment that helps companies  know where to start to build their competencies, the InnovationWizard, a turn-key, innovation website filled with information, idea stimulators and mini-workshops that can be linked to an organization’s intranet, and a host of other “gear” for stimulating growth through innovation.

Innovators and their champions tend to be optimistic and future-oriented.  They believe that the “buck starts here,” and that they can contribute to a better, brighter tomorrow for everyone.  We are proud to be part of this dynamic group and to play a role in making innovation a key competency in organizations around the world.
